Community works The Trust’s plant machinery has been out at Dindira Dam and Kavateta Dam, working to desilt these two major water sources.  TANAPA provided labour, a lorry and fuel and it was a timely desilting programme as, when the rains came, they filled up Dindira and even Kavateta held some water.  Kavateta is always a difficult engineering job: it probably needs machines on it for at least 6 months until the job is done properly.  Tony flies at least twice a week on patrol to back up the TANAPA rangers in the field [more]

Rhino The three Czech rhino are in excellent health.  The rain throughout December has turned the dry shrubs and grasses into an abundance of green.  The rhinos’ condition benefits enormously from such nutritious vegetation. [more]

Rhino Rhinos are all in good condition and the vegetation has turned green with just three rain showers so the rhino have good browse available [link]
