Rhinos are all in good shape and benefitting from the lush vegetation of the last rains.  We are constantly upgrading security as the poaching for rhino horn escalates.

Wild dog reintroductions are scheduled for this month.  We have been waiting for the end of the rains so that all the surrounding water pans hold water for the dogs once released.  Merial have once again donated the specialised vaccine for canine distemper and the next set of innoculations are underway.

We are in discussion with the Watoto Foundation, Suzuki Rhino Club, the Gonja village leaders, the Catholic Bishop and the District Commissioner of Same about a vocational training college for  Gonja village.

The environmental education programme, 'Rafiki wa Faru', continues its trips with the school children from Form One of secondary school.  We also bring in groups of village leaders and groups of teachers.
