Wild dogs


One of the alpha females gave birth a few weeks ago.  The pups are in the den for at least a month before they come to the top of the den to begin feeding. The wild dog keeper has to keep his distance from the den to ensure that the alpha pair are not threatened by his presence. He also will have to check the number of pups and the health of the pups when they first emerge into view but, as with the rhino trackers, without disturbing the mother.
